SouthRoads Ltd is a progressive civil construction and maintenance contractor with strong Southland and Otago roots. With one of the most modern and reliable construction fleets in New Zealand, we proudly support local communities and deliver high‑quality roading and civil works across the region.

As part of the transition to the new Southland Integrated Delivery Contract (IDC) - NZTA's operating model for maintaining and renewing the state highway network, we are expanding our team and looking for a Customer & Operations Co‑Ordinator to join us.

About the Role

The Customer & Operations Co‑Ordinator is the key link between operational teams and all administration, customer and stakeholder‑facing functions. You'll ensure timely, accurate communication by coordinating operational information, responding to customer and stakeholder queries, and supporting engagement and communication plans.

What You Will Do

  • Respond to and coordinate customer and stakeholder enquiries, complaints, and requests.
  • Support customer communications, notifications, and engagement for planned and reactive works.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of customer interactions.
  • Support reporting against customer and contract performance measures.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, councils, utilities, and other stakeholders to support operational delivery.
  • Complete operational administration, planning support, and data collation.

You'll be a proactive, organised, and detail‑focused person who enjoys working in a team environment and takes pride in contributing to a well‑maintained transport network.

You'll also bring:

  • Experience in a coordination, customer service, administration, or operations support role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and respond calmly under pressure.
  • Good attention to detail and confidence working with systems and data.
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to support operational teams.
  • An interest in roading, construction, or infrastructure environments.
