SouthRoads is looking for an experienced Mobile Crusher Operator ready to step into a Foreperson role based in Otago. Run modern crushing plant, lead a small crew, and take ownership of production on site.

About the role

Based in the Dunedin area, you will be responsible for the operation of our mobile crushing and screening plant across sites in Otago. While most work is based locally, there may occasionally be projects in Southland depending on workload.

This role involves operating crushing plant, coordinating daily production, and ensuring safe and efficient site operations. You will lead from the front, support a small operational team, and help maintain strong working relationships across SouthRoads crews.

The position also involves day to day quarry management activities, including cleanfill site management where required, while ensuring production targets and quality standards are achieved.

About you

You are someone who understands crushing operations and takes pride in running an efficient and safe site. You are confident operating plant, communicating with your crew, and solving problems on the job.

To succeed in this role you will have:

• Experience operating mobile crushing and screening equipment
• Class 2 licence with W, T, R endorsements and strong experience operating excavators, wheel loaders, and crushing plant
• A practical approach to health and safety
• The confidence to lead a crew and keep production moving

A B Grade Quarry Manager Certificate of Competence would be an advantage, or the willingness to work towards achieving one.
