HRT Andrews Transport is seeking a capable Office Administrator to join our team based in our Gore yard. This role suits someone who enjoys taking ownership of their work, solving problems as they arise, and managing a varied workload where no two days look the same.

About the role

This is a hands-on administrative role that supports the day-to-day running of the business. Working closely with operational staff, customers, and suppliers, you'll help ensure our administrative and financial processes run smoothly.

The role offers a high level of autonomy, so we're looking for someone comfortable managing their workload, identifying what needs to be done, and keeping things on track.

Your responsibilities will include a mix of:

  • Accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Payroll support
  • Customer service and general administration
  • Maintaining accurate records and supporting internal processes
  • Using internal systems to ensure information is up to date and well organised

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and working across multiple systems in a fast-moving environment.

About you

You're someone who enjoys taking ownership of your work and keeping things organised. You're confident navigating systems, solving problems, and managing multiple priorities throughout the day.

You're also comfortable working in a busy operational environment, communicating with a wide range of people and keeping things moving when things get hectic.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Experience across accounts, payroll, or general administration
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Confidence using systems and technology to manage information efficiently
  • The ability to work independently and prioritise tasks
  • A practical, solutions-focused mindset
  • A resilient and adaptable approach in a fast-paced environment

Experience using Greentree, Pay Global, and Microsoft systems would be advantageous, although full training will be provided for the right candidate.
