Position based in South Auckland

The purpose of the role is to supervise bulk and commercial fuel operations within the Auckland region to facilitate consistent achievement of delivery service levels through appropriate staff supervision and fleet maintenance management

You will work with the Regional Operations Manager, the scheduling team, the driving group, senior management and other key stakeholders at Allied Petroleum to ensure regional operations are maintained to meet customer demand, and all compliance requirements. We balance this by ensuring operational activities are completed in a safe, cost effective and efficient manner.

About You

You will likely have a background in transport or the fuel industry, with fuel logistics and operational experience preferred. You must be methodical and have an eye for detail. As this is a fast-paced environment you must be able to remain calm so that you can make effective decisions when the pressure is on. You will also have:

• Knowledge of legal and industry standards relating to truck operations and NZ employment practice
• Strong time management skills with multi-task capability
• Strong interpersonal skills: able to deal effectively and professionally with Management, Staff and Vendors
• Genuine concern on matters of the environment, health and safety
• Supervisory and interpersonal skills
• Customer facing experience, including terminals, commercial and bulk cartage (eg Oil Companies)
• Flexible hours of work, including after-hours availability and call outs as required.
• Solid computer skills, with a willingness to learn new computerised systems.
• Licences 1-5 with a DG endorsement advantageous.
