The key objective of this role is to operate as a Cyclic Operator within the Dunedin City Council Maintenance Division of SouthRoads Otago.

The Light Maintenance Patrol (LMP) work comprises on-going, routine activities necessary to ensure safety, access, cleanliness, good maintenance and visibility of the Dunedin City Council roading network. The work will be sourced from Requests for Service, and inspections undertaken by Contractor, or the Engineer. This work will require the Contractor to both carry out regular inspections across the network, and to respond to requests for service received via customers or the Engineer.

More specifically the successful operator will be expected to:

  • committed to maintaining a safe working environment
  • preferably have experience in the maintenance industry, however full training will be given
  • hold a Class 2 licence
  • be able to look after and maintain plant and machinery
  • be tidy, self-motivated, energetic and enthusiastic, with good communication skills
  • You'll be happy working in a team environment as well as without supervision
