We are currently seeking an Accountant to join our HW Richardson finance team, carrying out accounting for Allied Concrete.
We are looking for the right person to provide a major supporting role to the Financial Controller and to be responsible for preparing monthly financial statements and monitoring the financial performance of businesses assigned to the role.
In this role you will have a suitable accounting qualification - ideally a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) - and/or a minimum of 2 years of experience in a management accounting role in the same, or a comparable, business/industry. Excellent communication skills are a prerequisite, as you will have regular contact with senior management, operational management and staff. In addition, you will:
- Prepare monthly financial statements
- Complete FBT/GST returns
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register
- Prepare end of year financial reports
- Prepare annual budgets and forecasts
You will be skilled (to an advanced level) with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and Word. Previous experience with Greentree financials software, or a similar ERP system, would also be advantageous, however full training will be given to the successful applicant.
