A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an inspirational leader to manage two Allied Concrete Ready-Mix plants in Northland.
Our Northland plants, located in Whangarei and Waipapa (Kerikeri), have a diverse portfolio of customers in the Residential, Farm, Commercial and Infrastructure sectors. In this varied role, you will be overseeing the operational functions of both plants, working with our diverse team to ensure that concrete is delivered safely, smoothly, on time, and up to our high-quality standards. This includes tasks and functions ranging from customer development and retention, stock management, overseeing batching and production, and concrete delivery logistics. Commitment to safe work practises will be paramount.
This role will be based in Whangarei and reports directly to the Northern Regional Manager.
About you:
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have 5+ years of experience in leading teams and efficiently managing ready-mix Concrete operations and sales. Critical to the success of the role will be your ability to get the best out of your team to assist you in achieving your targets. Your ability and desire to achieve efficiencies in both production and plant and fleet management, and working co-operatively with the wider Northern Region team, will be integral in your future success.

- Can demonstrate leadership skills to motivate and manage staff, including professional development and training
- Is committed to exceptional health and safety and environmental standards
- Has sales experience with an outstanding customer service focus
- Has a passion for quality control and is committed to consistently meeting our stringent quality standards
- Understands financial and operational budgets
- Displays excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Is flexible in their working hours
