Customer Support Role

Allied Concrete Ltd is a leading national supplier of concrete and part of the HW Richardson Group of Companies. We have an extensive network of manufacturing plants throughout New Zealand and have the capacity to deliver on a range of projects from residential to commercial & infrastructure.

Our centralised customer support hub in Christchurch, which manages the work load for 3 concrete plants, is seeking an additional member to the team to assist with the taking of forward orders, confirming orders, dealing with orders of the day and responding to customer queries. This is a dynamic, fast paced work environment in a busy, open plan environment. Training will be provided.

This is not your typical office role. The majority of your time will be spent talking to our customers over the phone so you must be someone who enjoys this aspect of the role. Your days will normally commence somewhere between 6am and 7.30am and you will finish between 8.5 and 10.5 hours later. You will also be expected to work at least one Saturday per month.

Skills and experience required:

  • Strong customer service focus, both internal and external;
  • Computer literate;
  • Excellent telephone manner;
  • Accuracy, with attention to detail;
  • Good problem solving skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • The ability to remain calm when the pressure is on; and
  • A great team player.
