SouthRoads are looking for an enthused individual to come join us and help us make a difference in our Traffic Management space in the Southland area. We are currently looking for a Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS) or a Traffic Management Operative (TMO) to join our close-knit crew.

About the role:

You will play an integral part in our traffic management team where you will be working on traffic management plans, managing crews, supervising Traffic Controllers on site and reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. Along with your STMS duties, you will assist your crew with labouring duties when needed. You will also make sure both your team and the public are safe at all times. Additionally, you will be responsible for depot operations and taking care of the traffic sign stock.

About you:

Along with your approachable attitude, willingness to travel and your ability to work in a team, there are a few essentials to what we are looking for but do not stress too much if you do not tick them all off, we are prepared to train you:

  • You will hold TMO or STMS level 1 qualifications and ideally have come from a construction or maintenance background.
  • Minimum Class 2 full New Zealand Driver's license
  • Show your commitment to safe work practises, planning and leadership skills.
  • You will be expected to work well in a team and be capable of working independently when needed.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of day, night and weekend shifts.
