What's the opportunity?

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Southland, working across a variety of project locations throughout the region.

You'll be part of a skilled crew delivering civil construction projects ranging from quarry sites, subdivisions and private developments to local council and NZTA roading works. Standard hours are Monday to Friday, with additional hours and overtime available when project requirements demand.

What will you be doing?

• Driving and operating Class 4 and Class 5 vehicles
• Transporting construction materials, plant, and equipment to and from sites
• Operating civil construction plant and equipment, including loaders, rollers, excavators, and other machinery where qualified
• Assisting with earthworks, road construction, quarrying and maintenance projects
• Carrying out labouring and site support duties as required
• Completing daily vehicle and equipment inspections
• Following health, safety, and environmental procedures
• Working as part of a team to deliver quality project outcomes

What are we looking for?

• Current Class 4 or Class 5 driver's licence
• Strong commitment to health and safety
• Reliable work ethic and positive attitude
• Ability to work effectively within a team

Preferred

• W, T and R endorsements
• Experience operating civil construction plant and equipment

Training may be provided for motivated candidates.
